A major proportion of the world population is deprived of basic medical care in developing countries. HRO Nepal has partnered with Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) and World Health Organization (WHO) as well as other agencies to provide the much needed medical help to the affected people in disaster and disaster-prone areas.
We have some clearly defined objectives, as listed below:
Primary health care
Maternal and child health care
Immunization and vaccination programs
Health education and awareness
Ambulance service
Setup of diagnostic centers
Management of chronic diseases
Provision of medical equipment as donation
Preventive health program for children and pregnant mothers
Health and hygiene awareness workshops
Repair and renovation of functional health facilities
Provision of referral services on 24/7 basis
Provision of free consultation and medication in 2 shifts
Free delivery services for medicines and health kits
Deployment of medical and para-medical staff whenever necessary
Some of our cumulative initiates are given below:
Mother-Child Health care
We have focused on the most vulnerable portion of the population and had recently set-up 11 mother-child healthcare centers in the flood affected areas around Nepal. We have treated more than 200, 000 patients until date and provided more than $138,000 worth of medicines to the deserving areas.
Mobile Bus Clinic and Ambulance Service
We recognized the need for ambulatory health services for poor and needy people who cannot reach a healthcare facility because of the long-distance travelling required from their residential area. HRO Nepal is running a fleet of mobile medical bus and ambulances to help people reach to the much needed care on time.
