Education opens up opportunities in employment, and lowers the risk of exploitation – literate farmers are able to sell their crops for a higher price. Education also gives people the opportunity to voice their opinions, get involved in community planning and to have their say at a national level.
HRO Nepal believes that all people have the right of education and the same chance for a better future irrespective of their back ground. HRO Nepal aims to tackle the education problem from all angles, ranging from overcoming initial obstacles such as illiteracy and lack of local school provision, to funding students from poor backgrounds and providing vocational training for older people who are beyond school age.
The course Nursery to UKG has been registered under the CHO School, while Grade 1-9 has been registered under Sahara Public School. This program includes the provision of:
- Institutes and schools of excellence
- Literacy classes, vocational training courses, and supplementary educational programs.
- Establishment of institutions and centers.
Children of Hope is a Canadian-based volunteer organization governed by a board of directors comprising of community leaders. The goal of COH School (Sahara Public School) is to guide children to explore, acquire skills, and instill in them the joy of learning, which would set the tone for the rest of their lives.
This program was started after recognizing the need to develop and improve the educational standard among children in Nepal by providing them quality education and personal excellence. The COH School was established at Krishna Nagar, District Kapilvastu, Nepal.
The COH School offers their services that aim to allow all children in this area to take advantage of the educational opportunities created by Children of Hope and HRO Nepal.
The COH School is developing children from the beginning and guiding them in the right directions to achieve the noble goal of education, so that they can play a key model role in the field of education, and become educated, civilized and developed.
